Healing Challenge #1: Mirror, Mirror...
Do you have a dry erase marker? Do you have a mirror in your home?
Well, then you have the tools to get started!
Set aside some time (whether it is 2 minutes or 20 minutes) and sit in front of the mirror. Take a few moments and look at yourself. What do you see? Who do you see?
Are you happy with what is in front of you? What emotion do you feel towards yourself? Happiness, Joy, Anger, Sadness, Frustration, Confusion?
Is there an incessant tape player going on in the background of your mind (that you may have never noticed) which says something along the lines of:
“I look horrible today”
“I wish my hair didn't do that.”
“I don't like my wrinkles"
“I'm fat, too skinny, ugly”
"I wish my life were easier"
"Nobody loves me, I don't love myself"
"I'm so broke..." etc. etc. etc.
Now, take the time and bring some awareness to the aspects that you do love and enjoy about yourself. Do you love your eyes? Your smile? The way your nose wrinkles when you smile? Do you love your inner beauty? Your kindness? Your sense of humor?
Write these down on your mirror! Write affirmations about how you are so amazing, beauty-full, and strong! You are a Divine Being (Even if you do not necessarily believe these things right now) You can also write down any quotes or poems that will inspire you or goals/intentions that you want to accomplish! You can write down anything that creates inspiration and positive self-reflection!
Set aside time during the day, preferably in the morning, to nourish your inner beauty through this exercise.
